With its deep copper colour & complex aromas of caramel, tarragon, dried apple & spices the Janneau 18 Year Old is much more than a single malt.
Janneau select only the finest Ugni Blanc grapes from the famous Armagnac sub-region of AOC Ténarèze. The wines are then distilled at Janneau distillery in Condom, which is situated in the heart of the Armagnac region. The young fresh wines are double distilled, a process which captures only the ‘heart’ of the distillation, meaning this Armagnac has a soft and velvety palate bursting with fruit. The Armagnac is then matured for 18 Years in Limousin oak to add further complexity and smoothness.
The taste is a unique type of Armagnac, soft & intense. On the palate it creates an explosion of floral and complex aromas together with dry and resinous fruits. Finishing with an intense, long and velvety taste of violets, figs and prunes.
