The Weber Blue Agave used to craft Patrón® tequila ripens slowly, around every eight years. Using a sharp tool called a coa, skilled jimadors strip away the leaves to reveal the heart of the plant called the piña.
After being hand processed and chopped the piñas are baked in small brick ovens and then crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone wheel. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days and distilled.
Tasting Notes:
Serve between 16°C - 18°C
A dark, delicious blend. Patrón tequila and the essence of Arabica coffee. Dry, not sweet as with most low-proof coffee liqueurs
Recipe Suggestion: Espresso Martini
- 22.5 ml Patrón XO Cafe
- 22.5 ml Patrón Silver
- 22.5 ml Espresso shot
- Fine sugar
- Powdered chocolate
- Rim a martini glass with sugar.
- Combine Patrón XO Cafe and Patrón Silver with espresso in a mixing glass.
- Add ice; shake and strain.
- Garnish with powdered chocolate.
